Astana Airport provides passengers with a sensor interactive tourist – information kiosk in 24 hours a day. Tourist information kiosks located on the second floor of “Astana International Airport” passenger terminal. You can find next information in this kiosk:

• Interactive panoramic city map (zoom and movement by contact on screen with finger)
• List of Hotels (hotel description, type of hotel and pictures)
• List of recommended restaurants with kitchen and additional services description (local home delivery service)
• Information about city sightseeing’s (description and delivery route)
• Information about theatres and cinemas (description)
• List of transport service companies: taxi, bus route (contact information and detailed description of service)
• Calendar of Astana basic events for the current year (main cultural and formal events)
• List of retail and entertainment centers of Astana (description of service and photo gallery)
• Information about tourist companies, providing excursion service in city (indicating languages)
• Essential contacts (firehouse, police, first aid, city reference service and etc.)
• Information about tourist reference service.

All information in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.

Astana International Airport handled 1 million passengers in six month for the first time.

Astana airport passenger traffic increased by 18% for the first six month of 2012, compared to the results of corresponding period of last year and amounted to 1 015 838 passengers. The passenger traffic on domestic airlines amounted to 671 305 people, that was 15% more than in the first half last year. The most popular domestic destinations are: Almaty, Shymkent and Atyrau. The passenger traffic on international airlines increased by 25% compared to last year and amounted to 344 533 people. The most popular abroad destinations are: Istanbul, Frankfurt and in CIS are: Minsk, Moscow. “Transaero”, “Aerosvit” and “Lufthansa” ensured the main increase of passengers traffic in international airlines for the first half 2012. Since May 2012, Turkish airlines – “Korendon Airlines”, “Atlas Jet”, “Turkish Airlines” and “Sky Airlines” successfully realize charter tourist program on transportation tourists to shine Antalya from Astana Airport. It was transferred 6 881 tourists from May to June 2012. Resuming the results of the first half of 2012, Astana airport handled 7 883 flights, that was 13% more in compared with corresponding period of 2011. For the six months of the current year the Astana Airport freight traffic increased by 34% compared to the results of corresponding period last year and amounted to 3 705 tones. Astana Airport is constantly evolving geography of flights and flight frequencies of present destinations. At the first half 2012, “Air Astana” airline opened flights to Baku, Tashkent and St. Petersburg for the first time. In addition, “Air Astana” national airline increased flights from one to two times in a week to Antalya. In February, “Scat” airline renewed flights to Tbilisi with one time in a week and with two times in a week to Baku. Since April, “Rossia” airline renewed flight to St. Petersburg and since June it was increased flights from one to two times in a week. In May “Transaero” airline increased flights to Moscow from one to two times in a week at Saturdays.

Dear passengers!

From July 16, 2012 “Air Astana” airline commences flight to Omsk from the Astana airport. Flights will be performed 2 times a week on Monday and Wednesday.
