Operations results for the year of 2012
Astana airport passenger traffic has increased by 14% for 2012 compared with the last year for the same period and amounted to 2 303 143 passengers. Passenger traffic on domestic routes made 1 490 774 persons, that was 12% higher than in 2011. The most popular domestic destinations are Almaty, Shymkent and Atyrau. The number of handled passengers increased by 25% on international routes compared with last year, and made 812 369 passengers. High-demanded international destinations are Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, Frankfurt and the CIS: Minsk, Moscow. Transaero, AeroSvit and Lufthansa airlines provided main growth of passenger traffic on international routes for 2012. According to the results of 2012, Astana airport served 17 498 flights, that was 14% more flights compared with the same period in 2011. Astana airport constantly develops geography and flight frequency of existing destinations. For the first time, in May 2012 "Air Astana" airline has opened flights to Baku, Tashkent, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Russia, "Transaero" increased frequency of flights to Moscow from one to two times a day on Saturdays. "China Southern" restarted its flight to Urumqi from August 27th 2012.

Dear residents and quests!
From January 11th, 2013 an automated paid parking for 378 cars will become effective at Astana International Airport for the convenience of passengers. An automatic time tracking and motion video recording system operate at the parking. Payment for vehicles parking is produced at the cash register on the first floor of the passenger terminal. In addition, an alternative free parking for 130 cars will continue to operate at the capital's airport. Public transport will continue to operate the same way. There are specially marked places for people with disabilities in the parking.
