Astana airport congratulated veterans
2013 May, 3rd, on the eve of great holiday – Victory Day Astana airport organized the ceremony devoted to the 68-th anniversary of Victory for aviation veterans, participants of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers and Aphgan soldiers.
Mr. Adimolda - First Vice-President greeted the guests - honorable veterans and home front workers who devoted their lives to aviation. On behalf of the entire team of Astana airport, he congratulated the veterans on the coming great holiday and expressed his sincere gratitude for the invaluable contribution which was made by each of them for the Victory. For veterans the holiday program has been prepared with the popular songs of the war years in the performance by the airport staff, border guards of CNS of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the representatives of the party "Nur Otan". Each veteran received gifts and flowers. The annual tradition to honor aviation veterans on the eve of Victory Day was for the capital's airport honorable duty helping not to forget the history of the great victory.

In April 6, 2013 duty free shop of the company "Dufry" has opened in the Astana International Airport. The passengers of international flights, departing from the Astana capital, will be offered Perfume & Cosmetics, Alcohol & Tobacco, Food and Accessories. Duty-free located behind the border control in international departures.

Since April 16, 2013 “Air Astana” airline opens direct flight to Orenburg from Astana International Airport three flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on comfortable airliner Embraer 190. Departure time from Astana is 9:55 p.m., arrival time at the destination airport is 12:00 p.m.
In addition, Since April 23, 2013 “Air Astana” airline opens direct flight to Bishkek capital of Kyrgyzstan with three flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on comfortable airliner Embraer 190. Departure time from Astana is 21:45 p.m., arrival time in Bishkek is 23:35 p.m.
